Gerasimos Pylarinos
Professor of guitar at the Conservatory Nikos Scalkotas
Member of the Hellenic Union of Composers
Born in Lixouri, Kefalonia Greece (1949). He studied in the Hellenic Conservatory of Athens and also obtained series of lessons in composing and interpretation of contemporary music from the German Professors Siegfried Behrend and Gunther Becker.
A sample of his compositions are the following: “String Symphony”, “Violin Concert”, Cantata Symphony “Requiem”, “String Quartets” No1 and No2 and about dozen of other pieces for solo or in combination.
Pylarinos wrote music for theatre and the cinema.
Almost all of Pylarinos plays, have been presented in Hellas and abroad either in live or recorded by known orchestras as, ( the Bulgaria Sympfony Orchestra, ERT Orchestra, Quartets +kinesis and Opera Quarto) and played famous musicians as Cyril Laskarov, Fabio Cascioli, Brahi Tilles, Spiro Rado and others.
